  • The codebase already exists and quality bars are professional.
  • You need CI, code review, monorepo tooling, and long-lived architecture.
  • You are doing security-sensitive work with strict data boundaries.
  • You want unlimited cheap autocomplete in JetBrains/VS Code — that is GitHub Copilot.
  • You want the strongest agent-in-repo loop — Claude Code or Cursor Agent.

“Builder → IDE” graduation path we recommend

  1. Validate in Lovable or Replit (pick from table above).
  2. Freeze product learnings (screens, entities, what users did).
